Neil Sedaka: Rock & Roll Icon

Born in Brooklyn, Julliard trained, composer and singer extraordinaire, Neil Sedaka (1939-2026) could do it all. Besides being a successful solo performer, he was also a founding member of “The Tokens.” Most significantly, he wrote the music for hundreds of songs, not only for himself but also for other artists such as Connie Francis, Captain and Tennille, and Jimmy Clanton. He also played piano on Bobby Darin’s hit recording of “Dream Lover.” Among his later hit records were “Solitaire,” “Laughter in the Rain,” and a new arrangement of his signature song, “Breaking Up is Hard To Do.” Join us as we explore the life and work of this amazingly talented performer.
