Lucy Thomas and Matt Dusk - Vocal Commonwealth Stars
Two of the bright lights on the current music scene are Lucy Thomas, a native of Lancashire in the UK and Matt Dusk from Toronto, Canada. Lucy was born in 2004 but in the short time since her debut on “The Voice” in 2018 on British television she has released four studio albums and many of her renditions of Songbook standards have gone viral on YouTube, including such classic tunes as “At Last,” “La Vie En Rose” “Moon River” and “The Way We Were.” Matt was born in 1978 and performed opera and classical music during his formative years until, influenced by singers such as Tony Bennett and Sarah Vaughn, he decided to switch direction and devote his musical talents to performing jazz and pop standards. Some of his most requested numbers include “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “My Funny Valentine,” and “The Nearness of You,” all of which have been included among his eight studio albums.
