Renee Fleming and Dmitri Hvorostovsky
Part of the "Great Voices" Series
Among the outstanding talents that have graced the stages of opera houses and concert halls throughout the world over the past 25 years are the American soprano Renee Fleming and the Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky.
In addition to her vast repertoire of roles by composers such as Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, and Massenet, Renee has brought her love of opera to the casual fan with her behind the scenes interviews while hosting "Live from the Met" performances on PBS and movie theater simulcasts. Her reputation as the "People’s Diva" was clearly in evidence when she was chosen to sing the National Anthem prior to Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014.
Since his debut as Verdi’s Rigoletto in 1987, Dmitri has performed at La Scala, the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, the Vienna State Opera, and the Metropolitan Opera in Lincoln Center as well as many other venues. His many concert appearances and recording albums have made him one of opera’s most heralded stars.
