Vic Damone and Patti Page
Among the wonderfully talented musical artists of the mid-20th century were Vic Damone and Patti Page. Vic’s career extended far beyond being one of the most popular recording artists for recording companies such as Mercury, Capitol, and Columbia Records to a long career as a performer on stage, television, and night clubs along with films such as “Kismet” and “Deep in My Heart." Meanwhile, in addition to her signature song “Tennessee Waltz," Patti Page had 14 additional million-selling records during the years 1950-1965 and was the recipient of a lifetime achievement Grammy Award shortly after her passing in 2013.
By means of a variety of video and audio clips we will have an opportunity to experience these two outstanding artists perform a number of wonderful standards that have become an indelible part of the Great American Songbook.
